Service Description

Reserve the all-new Prusa MINI+ 3D printer with a build volume of 7” W x 7” L x 7” H which is the perfect size for small projects, protypes, and most trendy fidgets from Thingiverse. The MINI+ by Prusa is a smart and compact 3D printing workhorse with all the bells and whistles you expect from the leader in the 3D printing industry. This equipment may be booked for up to two four-hour sessions per week. If you need more time, please speak with INNOV8 staff. 3D models and gcode files must be preapproved by one of MDC Iowa's INNOV8 Lab staff members or a volunteer 3D printing expert to ensure proper print speed, temperature, and filament selection. MDC Iowa has a large selection of 3D printer filament that can be used for printing single models - multiple prints or small batch printing projects must provide their own filament. DO NOT USE MATERIALS WITHOUT PERMISSION. The Prusa MINI+ is compatible with Prusa 3D slicer software. A USB drive is required to transfer your sliced gcode file to the 3D printer. If you are not familiar with how to slice your 3D model, please allow 15-20 minutes at the beginning of your reserved time to have a qualified INNOV8 staff or volunteer assist you with the initial setup. This equipment may be booked for up to two four-hour sessions per week. If you need more time, please speak with INNOV8 staff.
