Large CO2 55W Laser Cutter (xTool P2)

Service Description

Reserve the all-new xTool P2 55W CO2 laser cutter and engraving machine with a work area of 24” x 12”. Cut wood, acrylic, leather, MDF, rubber, fabric, engrave on glass, ceramic, slate, coated metal, anodized aluminum, and more. Cutting and engraving project files must be preapproved by one of MDC Iowa's INNOV8 Lab staff members or a volunteer laser subject matter expert to ensure proper speed, power, and material selection. All project materials must be provided unless specific permission has been granted to use existing materials at the lab. DO NOT USE MATERIALS WITHOUT PERMISSION. The xTool P2 is compatible with both the xTool Creative Suite and LightBurn software. A laptop or PC is required to communicate with the laser machine. If you do not have a laptop please let the INNOV8 staff know when you check-in for your reserved time. Please allow 15-20 minutes at the beginning of your reserved time to have a qualified INNOV8 staff or volunteer assist you with the initial setup. This equipment may be booked for up to two one-hour sessions per week. If you need more time, please speak with INNOV8 staff.
